Magic Elf Studios is the professional audio realm of Carl Roa and Dave Miranda of the legendary instrumental progressive rock fusion band, Magic Elf.

Dials Magic Elf Studios is stocked with only the very highest-end professional audio equipment, great attention is paid to achieving absolutely stellar fidelity. Equipment favored and used mostly: API, Neve, GML, Crane Song, Speck, Schoeps, Neumann and Sennheiser.

Some studios tout a few impressive audio units but yet the rest of the audio chain is poor. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link. At Magic Elf Studios, the entire signal path from beginning to end, each and every track, is as pristine and high-end as it gets.

As muscians themselves, Carl Roa and Dave Miranda well understand the goals and desires of fellow musicians when it comes to recording / production. Great focus is placed on capturing / reproducing one's sound and performances with maximum clarity and dynamics so that all the complexity, detail, richness and emotion of the original takes clearly communicates the end product.

Dials The Elves can mix or master in either the digital or analog domain, priced accordingly. Digital mixing is done using a high-end DAW, using high-end plug-in processing, out through top-notch converters, summed in analog. Analog mixing is done entirely on an analog console, using all top-end analog processing (API, Neve, GML, Crane Song, UA, Manley, Speck etc) up to 32 tracks and beyond.

Mastering is done using either digital or analog tools or a combination of both, depending on the needs of the project. High-quality mixes are typically sent only through a high-end analog mastering path.

Mixing and mastering can be done remotely, just send in your tracks on a hard drive or via an online digital delivery service. Be assured that your project will receive utmost attention and care. Both Carl and Dave put their stamp of approval on ALL work before it leaves the studio. Rates include one free revision.

This service includes Carl and Dave using their own signature high-end instruments through their preferred recording chains to achieve their signature sound. Session work is priced on a per project basis. Inquire about a package deal when you have Carl and Dave mix and master the final project that they've played on.
